Run your fastest mile to date ⚡
“One mile, straight downhill, on a summer evening. Over 100 feet of glorious elevation drop between the start line on Whitlee Court and the finish at the Confluence Center — a course built for exactly one purpose, which is to put a number on your watch that you did not think you had in you. Three seeded waves, so you are racing people at your own pace.
The mile is a brutal, honest distance and this is the friendliest possible version of it. Gravity is on your side the entire way, the waves are seeded so nobody is stranded alone or swallowed by a faster field, and the whole thing is over in the time it takes to read this page. The elite wave goes last, at 7:00 PM, which makes it a genuine spectacle to stand at the finish and watch.
One logistical thing to plan for: parking is at the finish line, and every participant walks or runs up to the start as their warm-up. Build that into your travel time. Beginners and walkers may be driven up, but all cars must be off the course by 6:00 PM. Afterward, Haulin Hops is on site pouring cold ones for every finisher, with music, awards, and stories of the one time you almost outran your own shadow.
