From the Organizer
The Tallahassee Marathon began in 1975 with just two participants. From there, it has grown to a first-class event showcasing Florida’s capital city like no other race. The Tallahassee Marathon is an all-volunteer event organized by the Gulf Winds Track Club, a local non-profit dedicated to advancing the sport of running, whether for competition, physical fitness, or pleasure.
Our 2026 participant survey reveals what you can expect on the course. One runner summed up the event field size perfectly: "This was the perfect amount of people for the size of the city." Another participant shared, "The energy was amazing! It was my first marathon & I'm looking forward to doing it again next year"
Here is the feedback directly from the participants.
