Join us on April 3, 2027 for the 2nd Annual Thorsby Strawberry Sprint 5K, part of the town’s beloved annual Strawberry Fest celebration! We had 62 runners participate in our inaugural year. Let's make this grow each year.
Walk-Up Registration:
Online registration closes on April 1. Walk-up registration will be available on April 3 from 6:45-7:30am. Walk-up payment can be made with cash, Paypal, or Venmo.
The Registration and Check-In tent will be set up at Richard Wood Park.
5K Information:
Start Time: 8:00 am
This fast, out-and-back course begins at the intersection of Franklin Street and Alabama Ave, near Richard Wood Park and follows County Road 37 South, passing open fields, charming historic homes, and even a historic cemetery. The turnaround will be at County Road 29 where an aid station awaits thirsty runners. The route features a gentle incline on the return, making it a perfect course for personal bests.
The 5K is open to runners, walkers, and even leashed furry friends.
The 5K race will be hand-timed.
Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Male and Female. The awards ceremony will begin shortly after the final 5K finisher.
Register by March 13 for a guaranteed race day tshirt.
Kids Fun Run Information:
Start Time: Approximately 9:00am. The Kids Fun Run will begin shortly after the 5K awards ceremony.
Kids Fun Runners will receive a finisher medal.
Registration Fees and Donations:
All profits from the event will be donated a local high school running team, helping them to cover essential season costs and ensuring local student-athletes can continue to compete and thrive.
We greatly appreciate your support!!
We are accepting online donations if you would like to support the team but are unable to attend the 5K or Kids Fun Run.
