Somerset Academy Bay First Annual 5k

The Somerset Academy Bay 5K is more than just a race it is a community-wide event that promotes health, wellness, school spirit, and family engagement. By bringing together students, parents, staff, alumni, and local residents, the event creates an opportunity for our community to connect through physical activity and a shared purpose.

The 5K encourages healthy lifestyles by inspiring participants of all ages to stay active and set personal fitness goals. It also provides students with a positive example of perseverance, discipline, and goal-setting—values that align with our school’s educational mission.

In addition, the event strengthens the bond between the school and the surrounding community by creating a welcoming environment where families, local businesses, and community partners can come together to support youth development. The race serves as a celebration of community pride while showcasing the positive impact Somerset Academy Bay has on local families.

As our inaugural 5K, we hope this event becomes an annual tradition that promotes wellness, builds lasting relationships, and creates meaningful opportunities for our students and community members for years to come.

Funds raised through the event can be reinvested into student programs, athletics, wellness initiatives, educational opportunities, and campus improvements, directly benefiting our students and enhancing their overall school experience.

$25 - spectator fee 
The payment will be on the school website. 

Invite your family and friends, and stay for the day at the Zoo with admission included for every registered participant. 5K participants will receive a performance t-shirt*, and all 5K finishers will receive a commemorative finisher's medal. After the race, enjoy our Fit Family Fun Day event, with activities for the entire family, including bounce houses, fun foods, live Dj, games and more!

$45 - 16 years and older   
$30 students and 15 and younger

Our goal is simple: to bring people together, promote healthy living, and invest in the future of our children while strengthening the community we proudly serve.

What to Expect:

▪ Access to Zoo Miami — 750 acres, 4 miles of walkways, and home to over 2,000 animals from around the world.

Not running? No problem! Spectator registrations are welcome. Paid through the sobay website. $25 Choose to enjoy full-day access to Zoo Miami or simply come to cheer on our Dolphins and join the festivities.
