Event Timeline:
Runners, Joggers & Walkers Arrival
Between 4:30-5:45 pm

Pre-Race Announcements
5:45 pm

National Anthem
5:55 pm

Kids Ball Drop Dash starts
6:00 pm
(Yes, an actual ball will drop to start the kids dash!)

5k Start
6:10 pm
(And yes, we will have another actual ball drop to start the 5k!)

2 Mile Jog/Walk Start
6:13 pm
(Yup, we will have another actual ball drop to start the 2 Mile Jog/Walk!)

After Run Celebration
The party begins the moment you enter the GMU STADIUM
and do a 1/4 mile around the track to celebration your awesomeness!
Then you'll cross the glowing finish line arch and collect your huge glow in the dark finisher's medals!
Then if you're over 21, head to the Well Crafted Beer Company tent and collect your FREE well deserved adult beverage!
Kids will get a FREE root beer!

We will have a BEST DRESSED COSTUME CONTEST following the race!
You can stay and celebrate the New Year with great music, food and MUCH MORE
or
You can be home by 7:00/7:30 pm for your New Year's Celebration!

Either way, this brand new, first year event is going to be AWESOME!
Prepare to have a GLOWING start to 2026 with the Scoogië Crew on December 31, 2025!

IMPORTANT & FUN REMINDERS:

Remember to DRESS-UP how ever YOU feel that YOU want to celebrate YOUR New Year's Eve! The wackier the better!
You can add-on various glow items when registering and/or bring your own! The more GLOW on you...THE BETTER!
Again, we will have a costume contest after you run/walk/skip/cart wheel or whatever means necessary to get across the glowing finish line!
All three distance will not be timed.
It's not about how fast you get to the finish line at this event. It's about how much fun you have while completing your chosen distance!

Other tidbits of information:
No mailing of awards or hoodies.
If you have to leave the race early for ANY reason, you must notify us to save your award.
Note: If you are registered for this race and you registered in time to choose a hoodie size BUT you are unable to run for whatever reason, you will NEED TO CONTACT us 24 hours BEFORE RACE DAY and let us know if you'd like us to hold on to your reserved giveaway (hoodie) for you to pick up at a future Scoogie Event. If you do not do this, we cannot hold your shirt and it will be given to someone that registered after the deadline. We cannot mail shirts.

Packet pick-up & race day information will be emailed to all registered glowers on
Friday, December 19th.
