The 30th Annual Scarecrow 5K and 1-mile Fun Walk will take place Oct. 4 in Gladstone. The race, organized by the Gladstone Parks & Recreation, is on the final day of Gladfest.
The event starts at 7:30 a.m. All proceeds will be donated to the Northland Christmas Store, which aids families in need around the holidays. Participants registered before Sept. 27 will receive a T-shirt.
Early registration is encouraged,but registrants can also sign up on race day. There are family rates available.
The start and finish for the races will be Gladstone’s Linden Square, located at 602 NE 70th St.
