Run the Vineyards 5K hosted by the beautiful Waltz Vineyards Estate Winery in historic Lancaster County! 

Enjoy a 5K Run or Walk through scenic vineyards with mountain views and finish with World Class European-style wine. Memorable race that combines running, fun, wine, music, and relaxation! Join us and start a new family tradition Mother's Day weekend! Good Day for a Run and our unique race series was welcomed here 6 years ago by the Waltz Family and has grown more popular each year as we choose the day before Mother's Day to celebrate all Mothers - new and experienced! The results prove that many have enjoyed this off-road race and accomplished new milestones in their running careers!

  • Scenic 5K course through vineyard while enjoying 100s of miles of views! 

  • Chip-timed with Instant Results. Race Starts at 9AM.

  • Awards for Top 3 Overall and Age Group Male & Female Winners (14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, and every 10 yrs)

• The After Party - 

  • A Complimentary Glass of Award Winning Wine for age 21+

  • Live music immediately after race at 9:45 AM 'til Noon

  • Food truck on-site with delicious food items to order 

  • Relaxing Post-Race setting overlooking the vineyard and mountain/valley landscape.

  • High Quality Race Shirt ~ Women's, Men's/unisex, and Youth sizes, or upgrade to Women's Racerback Tank Top for $5 extra. Men's Tank options for no added fee. *Please register by April 26th to guarantee first choice. Many extras are ordered and available while supplies last for sign-ups after April 26. 

  • Run the Vineyards Stemless Wine Glass

  • Souvenir Finisher Medals optional for $8 during registration or $10 on race day (while supplies last)

  • Free downloadable race and after-party photos. Professional photographer on staff. Available 24-48 hrs post-race.

  • Walkers and children are welcome to participate.1 Hour time limit kindly requested. Need to start on time at 9 AM behind the runners for safety of all participants. SPECIAL PRICING - Children receive discount during registration (wine ticket not provided to them)

  • Race is rain or shine. No refunds or deferrals. 

  • Packet Pick-Up on Race Day @ 7:30 - 8:30 AM at the "Good Day for a Run" tent. Please Arrive by 8:30 AM to check-in.
