From the Organizer
Join us on Saturday, Sept 12 for Run for the Buns, a wildly unserious 0.5K fun run & fundraiser with a very meaningful mission.
I am training for the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon while raising $6,000 for the Colorectal Cancer Care Alliance, an organization that supports patients, families, prevention, and research for colorectal cancer.
Colorectal Cancer has personally impacted my life, and running this marathon has become a way for me to turn a difficult experience into something hopeful, community-driven, and impactful. Every dollar raised through this fun run will help support the Alliance’s work while also helping me reach my NYC Marathon fundraising goal.
So naturally… we decided the best way to support a marathon fundraiser was with the shortest race possible.
Participants in Run for the Buns will lap around No Boat Brewing before celebrating their athletic accomplishments with a well-earned beer.
Registration includes:
🍺 One drink ticket (not included with 3 and under ticket but there will be kid friendly drinks available)
🎽 Printable race bib (sent closer to the race date)
💙 Swag from the Colorectal Cancer Care Alliance
🤫 A surprise or two (we're not telling)
🏅 Lifetime bragging rights
Whether you run, jog, walk, or aggressively stroll, all are welcome. Come hang out, support a meaningful cause, and help prove that even a ridiculously short race can make a real impact.
This event is open to all ages - every registration helps support the Colorectal Cancer Care Alliance.
