From the Organizer
The Dream Factory grants dreams to critically and chronically ill children from the ages of three to eighteen. It is a nonprofit and the largest all-volunteer driven children's wish granting organization. It is not limited to children with life-threatening illness but children with chronic illness and disorders too.
The Dream Factory started in 1980 with one all-volunteer chapter in Hopkinsville, Ky.. Today there are chapters granting wishes, ran by volunteers all over the United states. We are happy to host this event to raise awareness and raise money for the Dream Factory. As you plan your races for the summer please consider joining up for a day of running. It is a 2 mile run on a cross country course in Red Orchard Park in Shelbyville, Ky. You can run 3, 6, or 12 hours, you can even have a relay. I have run many miles over the years on this course training for whatever comes next. The heat and hills can be challenging but so good!
We will have food and drinks the whole day. There will be mystery burritos too! You can set up whatever you like along the course.
All races start at 8:00am.
Let's make some dreams come true.
