The Pike County American Legion serves and honors all of America’s military Veterans, to include their families in and around the Pike County, Georgia community. This includes providing assistant to Veterans with physical, mental, emotional, and financial needs. Within its Veteran and Community programs, Post 197 provides information and education on Veteran’s affairs, Patriotism, and Americanism. The only way we can serve Veterans and the Community is through the community’s generous financial support. Participation in the event will help to assist Post 197 continue its Veteran and community programs.

Start and Finish will be located at the Fire Station in Concord, GA.
Parking available in designated areas near the event with a short walk to the start line.
Race Day Registration / Packet Pick-up: 8:00 AM-8:45 AM
5K Race Start Time: 9:00 AM
1K Kids Fun Run Start Time: 10:00 AM
Awards Ceremony Start Time: 11:00 AM (approximately)
T-shirt guarantee deadline: Friday, October 30, 2026. Late registrations will receive a T-shirt at a a later date.
Register online until 11:59 PM on November 12, 2026 Race day registration will be in person only until 8:45 AM.
Honor a deceased Veteran with his/her name on back of T-shirt with donation of $50.00 (includes one T-shirt). Deadline is 10/31/2025.
This event will be a 5K distance (3.1 miles). As we are wanting every dollar possible to go directly to the Pike County American Legion Post 197, this race will not be chip timed. We will have a gun start and will have a timing crew recording all finisher’s times and recording race results. We will have overall and age group awards ceremony and winners will receive a medal.
Bring the kids to this family event. Inflatables will be set up and supervised for kids to play on before, during, and after the 5K event. Kids can play while parents run/walk.
The 1K Kids Fun Run is for youth ages 9 and under. All participants in the 1K Kids Fun Run will receive a prize.
All registrants will receive a race T-shirt (be sure to sign up by the shirt deadline to guarantee a shirt on race day), race bib, course support, and post race refreshments.
The 5K course will be on all paved roads, well marked with signs at all turns, and have volunteers leading and following the racers. The 5K course is an open course and we ask that all participants be aware of moving vehicles along the course. There will be one water station about halfway through the course. There will be opening remarks/instructions followed by the National Anthem starting at 8:45 AM. 5K Race starts at 9:00 AM sharp. All runners and walkers are welcome. Any minor child running/walking the race on their own should register for the event and be accompanied and monitored by an adult. Well trained pets are welcome and must be leashed at all times. Owners are responsible for controlling their pet and keeping them and others safe.
Awards 1st place and 2nd place for male and female runners in the following categories:
Overall Winner, Veterans, age groups 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
