Rapides Junior Runners Fall Series provides 4 races in late August thru October for kids aged 3 to Junior High. Various distances are run, depending on the child's age: 3-5 runs a short distance for a Fun Run; 6-11 runs 1 mile; 12-14 will run 2 miles.
One -mile participants may register via runsignup.com, OR at Run Wild in Alexandria OR at the scheduled in-person registration day listed on the race schedule. No race day registration will be available. One registration is good for the entire season. Registration will open up again the day after each race to accommodate late registrants.
Two-mile participants can either register as an individual participant via runsignup.com, in-person registration on scheduled day listed below or at Run Wild in Alexandria. If you are participating on a Junior High team, you will register with your Junior High School coach.
The course is a true cross-country course, closed to traffic and utilizes the grounds of Ward 9 Sports Complex, 3311 Donahue Ferry Road, Pineville.
Upon individual registration, each participant will receive a chipped bib to be kept and re-used at each race. If a runner happens to misplace or forget the bib number on race morning, replacement bib numbers will be available for purchase at the race venue for a cost of $10.
Every one mile and Fun Run finisher will receive a medal at the finish line each race.
Awards will be presented following the conclusion of the 1 mile race and will include male and female top three for each age category:
male and female - 6 years male and female - 7 years male and female - 8 years male and female - 9 years
male and female - 10 years male and female - 11 years Two mile team competitors will receive team awards.

For all scheduled races - 2 Mile runs first at 7:45 am
5 and under Fun Run at approximately 8:15
1 Mile Run at approximately 8:30 with 1 Mile Awards following the conclusion of the 1 Mile race

August 26, 2026 - 4:00-6:00 pm at Ward 9 Sportsplex, Pineville, LA - course survey, in-person registration and packet pick-up

November 7 - Rainout Date if needed
November 14 is the Louisiana State Championship race for 1 and 2 milers. This race will require an additional $15 registration - optional.
