On Saturday September 5th, 2026, the Kiwanis Club of Natchitoches is hosting its annual 5k Color Run and Pancake Festival, benefiting the club's service project funds. The event will start at the Northwestern State University's Collins Family Pavilion (between Turpin Stadium and Prather Coliseum).
At 7:45am, 1-mile fun run begins with the overall top 3 getting a placement medal.
At 8:00am, the 5K Color Run kicks off and along the route, there will be volunteers throwing color at those who want to participate. Overall tope 3 race winners will receive a placement medal as well as each top 3 in age groups: 13 & under/14-19,20-29,30-39,40-49,50-59,60+
A full pancake breakfast will be available from 7am - 11am. The pancakes will be free to all guests. Yes, we said FREE PANCAKES! The breakfast itself will include delicious pancakes, sausage and your choice of beverage (Milk, Coffee, Apple Juice or Orange Juice).
A free Kids Zone will be setup with face painting and bounce houses.
This event is the primary fundraiser for the Kiwanis Club of Natchitoches, supporting its service budget. Project examples are, Terrific Kids program, K-Kids Clubs at area elementary schools, Builders Clubs at area middles schools, dry cleaning for school uniforms and coat donations drives, literacy project and more.
