Walk to End Polio:
This year we have changed the walk to join our local Fryeburg Area Rotary Club in their efforts to eradicate Polio. The walk will be shortened to 2 miles but will start at the same time as the run. Also all donations will go to the rotary club and further this cause. The Fryeburg track programs cannot accept donations.
The first 20 sign-ups for the walk will receive a free hat with their entry packet!
Since 1978 Rotarians have dedicated themselves to the eradication of polio, one of the world oldest diseases.
Yes polio still does exist and as such is only a plane ride away from the rest of the world. Since Rotary started their End Polio Now efforts, the world has gone from 190 countries and over 300,000 cases per year.... now to less that 20 cases per year and only two remaining endemic countries, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Join our Fryeburg Area Rotary club and Walk To End Polio...see https://www.endpolio.org/ for more information on Rotary and the world's efforts.
This is our 3rd annual Raiders Rumble. Take a look at our Facebook page to see photos and results from last years race! Invite your friends and family!
