Welcome to the first annual "RAIDER STAMPEDE" hosted by Randolph School! This event is a 1 Mile cross country event only for Pre-K through 6th graders set at beautiful John Hunt Park Cross Country Park in south Huntsville, AL.
This event is open to all public, private, and homeschool students.
NEED TO KNOWS:
1. DATE: Tuesday, October 13, 2026
2. TIME: see event schedule below
3. HOW LONG IS THE RACE? All races will do the 1-mile distance.
4. HOW MUCH TO ENTER? $10/person
5. HOW TO ENTER? You can enter via RunSignUp until Friday, Oct 9, 11:59PM (CST). After RunSignUp closes, you can enter on race day in person.
6. DAY OF RACE ENTRY?
Race Day Registration Available?
Yes! All participants must check in at the large white tent at John Hunt Park to either:
Pick up their race bib if pre-registered, or
Complete race day registration and receive their bib.
Important: Race day registration closes 30 minutes before the start of each race.
Missed Your Race?
If you miss your scheduled race, you may compete in a race for an older age/grade group. However, you will not be eligible for awards in your original grade division.
7. RACE ENTRY SHIRT: For all those who register via RunSignUp will receive a commemorative Raider Stampede shirt. For those who enter the day of, while supplies last, will receive a commemorative Raider Stampede shirt.
8. AWARDS: Every finisher will receive a custom Raider Stampede finisher medal. The top male and female in each race will receive an award at the awards ceremony on the big stage.
9. TEAM SCORING? When you come to either pick up or do race day entry, you will be asked by a volunteer what school you go to. That will be input with your name in the entry. The top three finishers from a single school in each race will score as a team. That means your place will be added together with the other 2 finishers from your school and that will be your score. The lowest score wins! *NOTE: Girls and boys will race together and be scored together in each grade level race
