Race the Runway 5K is back for its second year, and we are ready for takeoff!
We are partnering with PGV Airport and the Red Oak Community Rural Volunteer Fire Department to put on a one-of-a-kind event that gives registered participants the unique opportunity to run, walk, or simply experience the actual flight line. Whether you are chasing a personal best, enjoying a walk with friends, bringing the family out for a memorable morning, or you just really love aircrafts and firetrucks, this event is designed to be welcoming, fun, and community-centered.

With your registration, you are equally supporting both the Junior League of Greenville, NC and the Red Oak Community Rural Volunteer Fire Department.
Junior League of Greenville, NC's mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training that strengthens Greenville and Pitt County. The Red Oak Community Rural Volunteer Fire Department's mission is to provide the best fire protection, rescue, and first responder services, to local citizens and businesses in a professional, quick and courteous manner while Protecting Life and Property through their volunteer action.
Proceeds from this event equally help support the Junior League of Greenville, NC's service efforts across Pitt County, including our work addressing food insecurity and supporting children, families, and community partners through hands-on service and local collaboration, as well as supports the Red Oak Community Rural Volunteer Fire Department's volunteer firefighting, training, safety equipment, and emergency response resources that help protect our community.
Whether you run, walk, cheer, volunteer, or come for the planes and firetrucks, we are grateful to have you with us! This is more than a 5K. It is a chance to show up for community celebrate local partnerships, and do a little good while having a whole lot of fun!
