From the Organizer
The Promise 5K is an annual event held in effort to raise funds and awareness for the work of Children of the Promise in Northern Haiti. This year, the 7th Annual Promise 5K will be held at Robbins Island Park in Willmar, Minnesota!
Willmar, MN Location: Robbins Island Regional Park
The route follows beautiful walking trails through the park and around Willmar Lake. In addition to the great outdoors, enjoy a slice of pie at the Pie-K, stick around to hear more about what's happening in Haiti, and browse Haitian-made artwork. The 5K race is part of the Glacial Lakes Championship Running Series of West Central Minnesota, and there will be official timing with results posted online at http://www.glcrsrun.com/ via Pickle Events.
Not local to the Willmar area? No problem! There is also the Promise 5K Virtual Run/Walk, which can be completed in your own neighborhood, at a local park, or even the treadmill.
This event is a fundraiser for Children of the Promise.
