What started as a Thanksgiving morning run has turned into a tradition. Come build that Thanksgiving appetite by running the 6.2 mile certified course through the beautiful Golden Springs community. This ARC event benefits the YMCA. Walkers are welcome! Come and participate as a family. Overall male and female winners receive a Turkey Breast from The Honey Baked Ham Company. Overall 2nd & 3rd male and female receive Yummy Pies. AGE GROUP Awards M/F = 9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ and over. The course is USATF certified and we will have chip timing.
2026 will have early packet pick-up! Come check in from 4-7pm on Wednesday, November 25, at the ARC/NEABA HQ (26 W. 10th St, Anniston, AL). Check-in will also still be available on race morning, November 26, inside the Norwood Hodges Community Center, starting at 7am.

The 10K is the distance where running stops feeling like a starting point and starts feeling like a sport. Long enough to require a real training block. Short enough that race day is fully manageable for a first-timer who's put in the work.
