The Kids Superhero Run is a fan favorite, and it's back with even more excitement! Kids 10 and under will race alongside adult superheroes (yes, costumes are encouraged!) in a fun-filled dash packed with adventure. Will a villain appear? Only our heroes can find out!

We're also proud to partner with Distracted Driver Awareness, the official sponsor of the Kids Superhero Run. Their mission is to promote safe pathways and raise awareness about distracted driving, helping keep runners, walkers, cyclists, and families safe in our community. This year, we’re proud to support Greater Jackson Habitat for Humanity and their mission to close the housing gap in Jackson County. Instead of traditional volunteer builds, the Jackson chapter raises funds and partners with a discounted home‑building company — a model that’s helping more families access safe, stable housing.

Through their 20 by 28 initiative, Habitat aims to build 20 attainable homes by 2028, opening doors for hardworking families who are currently priced out of homeownership.

Whether you're racing, cheering, or just soaking in the fun, the 2026 ORS Oktoberfest event is where community, celebration, and purpose collide.

Special New Years pricing only $20 from 1/1 to 1/15. 

Pricing: $35 through 9/20, then $40. To guarantee an event shirt, registration must be completed by Thursday, 9/17. A Friends & Family discount of $5 per person is available when registering 3 or more participants.

Overall Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers of Open (all ages), and Master (40+), Senior Master (60+) in the 5k Run, and 5k Walk.

Age Groups Awards to the top 3 places in each age group:

5k Run age groups: 0-12, 13-14, 15-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69. 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+

5k Walk age groups: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Early Packet Pick-Up will be Friday October 2nd 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Grand River Brewery-117 W Louis Glick Hwy, Jackson, MI 49201

Race Day Packet Pick-Up will be from 7:30 am - 8:45.

Please note there are no dogs permitted at this event. Service dogs excluded. Please see the full policy under Race Info. This is for the safety of both our participants and your dogs. Thank you. 

The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
