About Tim Tank and the Tim Tank Memorial Non-profit:
The Tim Tank Memorial Scholarship 501c3 non-profit was created in 2024 to honor Tim Tank, long time Oak Hills resident and local leader in the sport of running. Tim's legacy was established after he fought a courageous battle of Glioblastoma (brain cancer). Tim was a collegiate competitive runner and Cross Country/Track Coach for High Schools in Beaverton School District. Tim originally relaunched the Oak Hills Turkey Trot in 2019 while he was on medical leave to give back to community and build an event to bring people together on his favorite holiday. Now we walk and run to give tribute to Tim and give back to the broader community. To date the Tim Tank Memorial has awarded $11,000 in scholarships to high school seniors.
