Miles for Medicine is a 5K run/walk and kids fun run fundraiser event hosted by MSU Student National Medical Associations (at the College of Human Medicine & the College of Osteopathic Medicine) and MSU Spartan Street Medicine that will serve to uplift both the greater Lansing community and vulnerable populations.
About SNMA
The Student National Medical Association (SNMA) is a national organization of over 6,000 medical students nationwide who are committed to addressing the needs of underserved communities and becoming clinically excellent physician-advocates.
About SSM
Spartan Street Medicine (SSM) is an organization comprised of medical students and physicians united under a commitment to quality healthcare for all. The program provides medical care and health education to people experiencing homelessness in Ingham County in the form of pop-up clinics and outreach trips.
At SNMA & SSM , we believe that healthcare should be a human right accessible by all, not a privilege.
This race and donations will:
Come out and enjoy with family , fun for all ages, free health screenings, music, games, and more, while making healthcare more accessible for everyone in our community.
Pricing: 5k run/walk $30 until 8/30. $35 from 8/31 to 9/6. $40 from 9/7 to 9/19. Kids $20. No virtual run this year.
Race Swag: Participants registered by September 6th will receive an exclusive race t-shirt. Shirts are limited in sizes after that date and will available until they are sold out. Shirts will be available in youth and adult sizes.
Course: The event will start and finish at Conrad Hall. See the Course Map section along the top of the page. The fun run will be an out and back race.
Awards: Overall 5K run/walk winners. All fun run participants will receive a finisher medal.
Packet Pickup: Race day morning starting at 7:30 am at the race start/finish area (behind Conrad Hall)
Results will be live and texted to you upon completion of the race. The race is professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
Proceeds: All donations and a portion of race proceeds will benefit
