Make Plans to Join us Today! For the 6th. Annual running of the '5k faMily Trail Run/Walk' to be held Saturday, October 3rd, 2026 at 9:00 AM at Model High School in Rome, Georgia! This unique 5k faMily Trail Run/Walk will benefit Model High School Programs each year! All runners will receive a commemorative short sleeve race T-shirt with your registration and Medals will be awarded to the top finishers for age groups as well as the top overall male/female finishers!
Registration Fee:
$30 Pre-Race Registration Fee, which runs until 11:59 PM, Sunday evening, September 27th. $40 "Race Day" Registration Fee.
5K Start-Finish Line Location Information:
The Trail Run's Start / Finish Line(s) will be located adjacent to Woodard Tuggle Stadium on the campus of Model High School, located at 3252 Calhoun Rd NE.
Race Day Parking Information and logistics:
There is plenty of parking in and around Model High School and Woodard Tuggle Stadium in the adjacent parking lots.
5K Trail Run / Walk - Race Route Description:
The race begins and ends at Woodard Tuggle Stadium on the campus of Model High School and continues down Barron Rd. leading to the Model Middle School Football field. The course then enters the trail behind the football field to make a half-mile wooded loop. After looping the back side of Model Middle School, runners will again hit the trail on the back side of campus for one mile. The last mile will guide runners around the baseball stadium back toward the M.H.S. campus and continue toward Model Elementary. Runners will make one paved loop in front of M.E.S. and M.H.S. to the finish at the stadium. The course is about ½ wooded trail and ½ paved road. The trails are well-marked and plenty of volunteers will be stationed along the route to guide you along the way!
