Michigan Humane Tailgate! Run. Walk. Adopt. is a running race on May 8, 2027 in Detroit, MI, with entry fees from $15 to $45.
From the Organizer
Building on the beloved tradition of Michigan Humane’s annual Mutt March, we’re embarking on a new chapter that celebrates the powerful bond between people and their pets, and the many ways they inspire us to live with greater joy, compassion, and connection. We invite you to join us for the celebration at Corktown’s Roosevelt Park and the iconic Michigan Central Station. There’s something for everyone! The new 5K run will take you from Roosevelt Park through Southwest Detroit, a jaunt through Ralph C. Wilson Park, returning to Michigan Central Station on the Southwest Detroit Greenway – and you can register your dog to run with you! The event also features the 1K Mutt March fundraising walk, the Mike Morse Law Firm Meet Your Best Friend event with nearly 100 animals up for adoption, field games and contests for dogs, food trucks, a beer garden, live music, and more!
