Megan's Mission 5k Run is a running race on September 19–29, 2026 in Coal City, IL, with an entry fee of $35.
Megan Bugg passed away on March 9, 2022 after a courageous and inspirational seven year battle with childhood cancer. During her fight, Megan became a passionate national advocate for childhood cancer advocacy and research. Her advocacy efforts led to her speaking in Washington, D.C. and raising nearly $1 million to fund promising childhood cancer research. The Megan's Mission Foundation was founded in Megan's memory to continue pursuing her dream of ending childhood cancer through advocacy and research. To date, the Megan's Mission Foundation has raised over $2.6 million to fund the most promising childhood cancer research in the country taking place in the "Megan Bugg Global Rhabdomyosarcoma Research Laboratory" at the Children's Cancer Therapy Development Institute. All funds from this event will support the Megan's Mission Foundation and our commitment to realizing Megan's dream that no more children will experience childhood cancer.
All participants will receive a t-shirt with registration. Shirts are guaranteed to all participants who register by 8/30 @ 11:59pm.
