About Glenwood Together:
Glenwood Together is a community organization that seeks to build community and connect neighbors with needed resources in the Glenwood neighborhood of Greensboro, NC. We’ve served our community in a number of ways over the years, to include:
•Hosting annual community-wide Trunk or Treat and Spring Fling festivals
•Coordinating an urban farm that provides neighbors with free fresh produce
•Providing neighborhood children (and some adults!) with high interest books through our summer reading club
•Caring for Peck Elementary staff through our Friends of Peck program
•Administering a $60,000 pandemic relief fund for Glenwood in partnership with Grace Community Church
•And more!
In January 2022, we opened the doors to our community space located at 1310 Glenwood Avenue. We currently offer free coffee and wifi, as well as space to relax and connect and with neighbors. To help foster new relationships, we have board games, books, and art supplies, as well as meeting space available. In the near future, we hope to partner with local community organizations to host classes and activities on a regular schedule.
