Lone Tree Reckoning Heavy 15K and 5K is a trail running and running race on November 14, 2026 in Loveland, CO, with entry fees from $45 to $75.
There’s a new challenge waiting on the trail.
The Lone Tree Reckoning Trail Heavy 15K & 5K is your chance to trade pavement for dirt, take in the scenery, and find out what the trail has in store for you.
Don’t let the views fool you—this course has some personality. Expect a mix of runnable stretches, climbs, changing terrain, and sections that will make you work for that finish. Whether you’re taking on the Trail Half Marathon or the 5K, this is a race built for runners who are ready for a little adventure.
Trail Heavy 15K
Thirteen-ish miles of trail, challenge, and plenty of reasons to keep moving forward. The course will test you, but you don’t have to be the fastest runner on the trail to take it on.
Half Marathon Time Limit: 5 Hours
That gives participants an average pace of approximately 22:50 per mile, allowing plenty of room to slow down, hike the tougher sections, catch your breath, and keep moving toward the finish.
Trail 5K
Want a taste of the Reckoning without committing to the half? The Trail 5K brings its own dose of dirt, scenery, and challenge in a shorter distance. It’s a great option for newer trail runners or anyone looking for a fun fall trail race.
Come ready to run. Come ready to hike when you need to. Come ready to earn that finish.
The trail is waiting. Are you ready for the Reckoning?
UPDATE:
Why 15K Instead of a Half Marathon?
We originally planned to include another area of the ranch to bring the course up to half marathon distance. That section isn’t going to work as we’d hoped this year, so the inaugural Lone Tree Reckoning will use the loop we have: just over 15K.
We know some runners were looking forward to a half marathon, and we’re sorry for the change. This loop still brings the climbs, technical terrain, and variety we wanted for the first Lone Tree Reckoning. We’re excited for you to experience it.
