🦃 Little Neck Turkey Trot & Gobble Wobble
Join LNRC at 8:30 AM on Thanksgiving morning for a fun-filled community run in Little Neck! The Turkey Trot and Gobble Wobble are family-friendly events open to runners and walkers of all ages. There will be a 5k and 1 mile route that stays on the Little Neck Road path, but roads will not be closed.
This isn't a timed race - it's a chance to celebrate fitness, friendship, and gratitude before the big feast. We’ll start and finish at the Little Neck Swim and Racquet Club, following our usual run club-style format with plenty of good vibes and holiday cheer.
🚧 Safety Reminder
Please remember that roads will not be closed for this event. Both the 5K and 1-mile routes stay on the Little Neck Road path, but please be alert to traffic, especially when crossing streets. This is a fun run, not a race — all about fitness, friendship, and gratitude before the big feast!
🧥 Donation Update
We're collecting donations for the Virginia Beach Housing Resource Center again this year. Last year, we collected and donated a truckload of clothing that went to supporting individuals in our area experiencing homelessness during the winter. We encourage you to help us spread warmth this holiday season by cleaning out your closet or picking up a few necessities while shopping for the holidays!
There is a tremendous need for the following:
- Adult underwear (new, unopened): men & women / all sizes, NEW
- Casual pants for men & women (gently used): jeans, khakis, sweatpants (all sizes)
- Sweatshirts and flannels (all sizes)
Donations can be dropped off on Wednesday (time TBD) at the Little Neck Swim and Racquet Club, or on Thursday morning before 8:15 AM.
☕️ Post-Run Hangout
After the run, stick around for a post-run hangout at the Little Neck Swim and Racquet Club! We’re excited to share that Dunkin’ Donuts will be providing coffee and donuts for participants to enjoy!

All participants will be entered into a raffle for some giveaways after the race, so stick around to see if you’re a lucky winner!
🎽 T-Shirts
Limited-edition Turkey Trot shirts are included with your registration this year! Shirts will be available for pickup on Wednesday (time TBD) at the Little Neck Swim and Racquet Club, or on race morning before 8:15 AM.
