14TH Annual
LCSPTF 14th Annual 5K is a running race on September 26, 2026 in Grayslake, IL, with an entry fee of $30.
We are excitedly anticipating the connections with all who join us either in person or online. Over the last several years we have had walkers/runners from many different states, walking with us or independently from wherever they are. Last year we had our record number of participants! Your support is meaningful and helps us provide training and support to all the members of our community of Lake County.
Find us on Facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/share/16W56Mt32S/?mibextid=wwXIfr ) and follow us!
The Welcome & Kickoff with Speakers will start at 10:00 AM In-Person and on Facebook Live for those who cannot join in person.
Feel free to share any videos and photos of the event, so we can also share with our Lake County community knowing that, We Are All In This Together! Check out some photos from last year's event by clicking on the photos section at the bottom of the page.
This registration fee includes an event t-shirt** and participation at the resource fair during the event, with information and various giveaways from our partnering organizations.
$30 for adults
$10 for children 5 to 12 years old
Free --kids 4 and under
Teams of 5 people or more ($25 each)-- First person creates the team and team name and invite others to join it. The first 4 people will pay the regular fee of $30. The fifth and subsequent registrations in the team will drop the fee to $25, giving the first four individuals a $5 refund.
If you are unable to walk or would like to donate to the event, you can do so by clicking the donations tab above, or as part of your registration.
This year, in addition to the poster boards where people can write their reasons for walking/running, we will have a slideshow presentation running on the large video screen above the CLC gym door. This slideshow will include memorials of participants' loved ones. If there is a person you are walking for, please share a photo and tribute for them, so we may help honor their life. Click on the Google form link below and answer three questions: Name, Year of birth and death, a 1-2 sentence tribute, and an optional Signature Line. You will have the option to upload a photo as well. In order to complete this form, you will need to log into your Google account.

We will be hosting a drive-thru event so you can pick up your walk t-shirts in advance. T-shirts will also be available for pickup on the day of the Walk/Run event, Sept. 26. Future emails will be sent out to registrants with more information.

Set up a Team and join our friendly competition to see who can create the team with the most members registered. Winners will be announced at the event and Prizes will be awarded. The team can also be participating virtually and walking elsewhere, therefore, they do not have to be present at the event to win. Remember each team member automatically receives a $5 discount on registration. And while you are contemplating your team, consider being a bronze sponsor for an additional $100 donation to have your team name listed on our T-shirts and at the event. It's easy to become a bronze sponsor--just click on the "Sponsor" link on the home page.
All proceeds go to the Lake County Suicide Prevention Task Force, a 501(c)(3) organization, and support our mission to prevent suicide and promote mental health awareness in Lake County through outreach events, professional training, and community education, because one suicide is too many.
