Please join us this Labor Day for a great summer tradition of running and cheer! This year The Malden Irish American Club will be partnering with the Malden Warming Center and will be donating a portion of proceeds to their organization after the race. The Malden Warming Center seeks to serve those adult individuals experiencing homelessness by providing safe shelter and warmth during the winter months, recognizing each person’s inherent dignity and unique circumstance.
Music, entertainment, food and plenty of libations are available for runners and race fans alike!
Medallions are awarded for 1st & 2nd place finishers(M&F) in both the 5K & 10K races: 17 & under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 & over.

Most spirited team – Bring the craic and show your team pride! Decorate your tent, plan a themed costume, own the dance floor, or dream up your own way to stand out. The more energy, creativity, and team spirit, the better.
We will be running on a (mostly) flat course that winds through Malden’s Edgeworth neighborhood, skirting the Malden-Medford border. The route is well marked with numerous volunteers and police escorts directing you all the way.
Registration starts at 8:30 at the IA Club.

The 10K is the distance where running stops feeling like a starting point and starts feeling like a sport. Long enough to require a real training block. Short enough that race day is fully manageable for a first-timer who's put in the work.
Race day energy at a 10K is community at its best — strangers cheering you by name, people moving toward the same goal, an atmosphere that solo training can't replicate. It's fast enough that you'll spend the whole race pushing rather than managing your effort.
