From the Organizer
This 5K is the kickoff to a community event, presented by The Wildflower Legacy Foundation, to honor a legacy while helping children in the community. The Wildflower Legacy Foundation was created in honor of Hattie Jean White, daughter of Meredith and Jacob White, who was born still on September 23rd, 2021, at 36 weeks of gestation after the most perfect first pregnancy. Since 2022, Meredith and Jacob have made it their mission to provide experiences to children in their community no matter the financial restrictions--experiences they longed to provide for Hattie. Every family should have the opportunity to watch their child(ren) do something they love. This 5K will begin with a Dove release and a moment of silence to honor Hattie. At the conclusion of the 5K (which will start and end at the taproom), the community will gather at the Jackie O's Taproom for an afternoon of family fun, raffles, and remembrance--all in support of Hattie's legacy--The Wildflower Legacy Foundation.
