The 1st Annual Gregory Burnett, Sr. Memorial 5K & Family Fun Run is more than a race—it is a celebration of legacy, community, health, fellowship, and purpose.
Join us on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at beautiful Calf Pasture Beach for an unforgettable day of inspiration, unity, and impact as runners, walkers, families, community leaders, and supporters come together to honor the life and memory of Gregory D. Burnett, Sr.
This family-friendly event kicks off with the Legacy Mile/Family Fun Run at 9:00 AM, followed by the 5K on a certified course at 9:30 AM.
Hosted by the ANu Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and the Alpha Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., this event seeks to promote wellness, strengthen community connections, and support educational scholarship initiatives that Greg cherished—continuing his legacy of service, fellowship, and commitment to others.

Whether you are running in remembrance of Greg, walking for health with your family, participating to support the scholarship fundraising effort, or simply enjoying a run or walk along the scenic shoreline of Long Island Sound, your participation helps continue a legacy rooted in service, encouragement, leadership, fellowship, and love for others.
Most importantly, this is a scholarship fundraising event, and net proceeds will benefit the ANu Foundation’s scholarship programs, helping to extend Greg’s legacy by investing in the education and future of deserving students.

5K Age Group Medals:
12 and under, 13 - 18, 19 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60 - 69, 70 - 79, 80+. Top three male and female in each category receives a medal.
Trophies:
Top Three Fundraising Groups (Teams who raise the most money for the scholarship fund will receive a trophy).
Special recognition will also be given to organizations, teams, businesses, schools, churches, and community groups that raise the most funds for the event’s scholarship initiatives.
