Green Valley Lake 5k/10k/& Half Marathon

🌲 GREEN VALLEY LAKE 5K / 10K / HALF MARATHON

🕖 START TIMES
7:00 AM: Early Start Half Marathon (for those expecting to take 3.75+ hours)
7:30 AM: Standard Half Marathon Start
8:00 AM: Mass Start for 5K & 10K
 
🏞 COURSE HIGHLIGHTS
This is a breathtaking mountain race in the heart of the San Bernardino National Forest!

Start with a scenic ¾-mile out-and-back along the lake
Climb gradually up Green Valley Lake Rd and onto a forest service road
Enjoy a 400 ft elevation gain to an overlook at the 5K turnaround
10K and Half Marathon continue along rolling terrain on FS Road 2N13, through pine forests and rocky vistas
Course is part paved (1.5 miles), then transitions to dirt roads and trail
Water & aid stations every 1.5 miles
Get ready for that fresh air, mountain-made, above-the-clouds experience!

 
📍 LOCATION
Green Valley Lake – Just 40 minutes from Redlands, located off Hwy 18 between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear.

Post-race activities take place in the Downtown Community Garden on the main lake area on Green Valley Lake Rd.

🌲 THIS race  GIVES BACK to the local national forest CHILDREN's FOREST on behalf of TEAM JANIECE.

Your extra donations and participation support TEAM JANIECE , formed by the CAMACHO family to commemorate the life of their daughter, Janiece , who helped build the Children's Forest trail.  This race is in honor of families and the precious years we have with each other, that can be cut short in an unfathomable blink. And for us to hold dear loss and love.  And to make life full of action and each other. In memory and in living tribute to a kind young lady that loved this mountain, but only got to live into her early twenties. Our gathering in a healthy way is in honor to you.

May you FEEL the mountains are special.  The breeze in your hair.  The sun on your face.  And the great ability to enjoy doing something actively together in a special little corner of So Cal called the San Bernardino Mountains, and a tiny mountain town called Green Valley Lake.
