From the Organizer
Bring your racing and running season to a close in historic Oak Park with the flat, fast, and scenic route of the 50th Frank Lloyd Wright Races, featuring a 5K Run/Walk, a 10K Run, a Youth Mile for ages 6-14, and a Lil Runners 50-yard dash for ages 3-5. Whether you're a serious runner or looking for an active day with family or friends, join us for this iconic race!
All events are on Sunday, October 18. The course for the 10K passes by eight Frank Lloyd Wright buildings, including the Home and Studio! The 5K passes by the Forest Avenue homes along with the iconic Home and Studio.
All proceeds go to the Park District of Oak Park scholarship fund, helping local individuals participate in programming.
SWAG & AWARDS:
All participants receive FLW-inspired long-sleeved shirts and finisher medals.
LOCATION:
All races start and finish near Oak Park & River Forest High School, 201 N. Scoville, Lake & Scoville, Oak Park, IL. Races start just east of the high school on Ontario.
STROLLERS:
Strollers are allowed at the back of the pack for runners in the 10K and 5K Run events. Strollers are also allowed in the 5K Walk.
5K RUN, 10K RUN & YOUTH MILE TIMING:
We use the B-Tag timing system, a tag built into your bib. The 5K Walk is not timed, so B-Tags are not on bibs issued to walkers. Results and finish placement are based on B-Tag times, not your physical place in the race. Someone can finish after you but still have a faster time!
