Fly Sam Fly 5K run/walk is a running race on September 27, 2026 in Stanford, KY, with an entry fee of $20.
This year the race is on Sam's Birthday (he would be 22)! Come join us for a 5K run/walk through downtown Stanford, and cupcakes for everyone!! Special gift basket awards are given with goodies donated from Kentucky Soaps and Such for top Male and Female, and top Master Male and Female. This is a perfect race for beginners who have never run or walked a 5K and want a fun low-key atmosphere to fellowship with friends and family :). Many times if you just show up and participate you have a good chance of getting an award! Our race is in honor of Sam Singleton, a special young man that we tragically lost way too early. This race was imagined to create and fund The Sam Singleton Educational Fund. This fund helps support Lincoln County Middle and High School Extracurricular programs that were Sam’s passions Lincoln County cross-country, track, FCA, drama and archery. To date we have awarded $71,500 to students and programs. WE RUN FOR SAM!!
