Come join us for this year's Fischang-Cicchetti Memorial Road Race - a 5-mile and 5K pre-Thanksgiving Sunday-morning classic favorite of runners all over Connecticut, taking over the streets of Waterbury.
We are so excited to be holding this race again in 2026. We will have both the 5 mile and 5K distance options. Please register online, and register early! The first 200 registrants will be receiving short sleeve t-shirts. Pre-race packet pick-up will be strongly recommended and can be done at the Front Desk of the Greater Waterbury YMCA on Friday November 20 from 5-7pm or Saturday November 21 from 11am-3pm. Race morning check-in will be available for those who are unable to pick up on Friday or Saturday.
We will not be assigning start waves this year, so you will not need to provide an estimated race time when you register. We will encourage you to line up according to speed, with faster runners towards the front, and slower runners and walkers towards the back. CLICK HERE to view this year's course map. 5K runners will have a turnaround along the same route.
There will be awards for top 3 male & female overall, and top 3 male & female in each division (no cash prizes this year) for the 5K and the 5 Mile, presented after the race.

Registration fees are non-refundable. The race will be held rain, shine, or snow as it has been for the past 50 years! Race-day registration will be available but it is very much appreciated if you register in advance.
