THIS IS WHY WE RUN....
Did you know that 6,200 children die every day from hunger related causes?
This is a sad reality and tragedy that is happening EVERY DAY! This is why we run....to help fund the Green Bay MobilePack for Feed My Starving Children. Feed My Starving Children is a Christian non-profit organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. The majority of your race registration goes to the food program for our local volunteers to pack the life saving food we call MannaPack Rice. This life saving formula is purchased and hand packed with LOVE by local volunteers and then shipped to mission partners in over 70 countries to feed God’s starving children. At just 29 cents a meal, a race entry fee of $30 is equivalent to 103 manna-pack rice meals!
The Green Bay MobilePack will take place at Green Bay Community Church during the first week of October for the 14th year! Last year we packed an amazing 676,512 meals in just 4 days with 3,307 volunteers! This year we hope to pay for and pack 650,000 meals at a cost of $188,500! Ten local churches sponsor and plan this event each year in partnership with Feed My Starving Children.
Our course is set in beautiful Howard, Wisconsin. The course leaves from the Green Bay Community Church parking lot and takes you through neighborhoods and scenic areas in Howard before returning to the church.
Please consider joining us on Saturday, September 19th for this charitable event!
God Bless,
The Green Bay MobilePack 5k Run/Walk Team
