Kick off the Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026 festivities with the 14th Annual Everbody's Turkey Trot Fun Run in Tell City, IN. This year's in-person race will offer a 5k (3.1 miles) and a 1-mile distance.
Check out the Turkey Trot promotional video!! Take A Look Back.....
What better way to start the day's festivities than with a short run/walk. The race will start and end at Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center, 710 Fulton Street at 8:30 a.m. Tape the parade(s), prepare the Turkey and come to Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center and run or walk in the Everbody's Turkey Trot Fun Run. The 5k route will take you along the Ohio River before taking you up a short little bump in the road and then flattening out to the finish line. If a 5k distance is not for you then take our shorter 1-mile distance. This is a six block, route within the beautiful downtown area of Tell City, IN. Any race in Tell City has a hill and the 1-mile route is no exception with a 1 block bump. Route map can be found at everbodys.com.
Keep an eye on the Everbody's Turkey Trot Facebook page and race page at everbodys.com for daily challenges between Nov 19th and the 25th. Dress up in your favorite turkey outfit, send us a photo, and you could win a fabulous gift!!
This year medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age group (broken down into 10 year age groups). All registered participants who register for the fun run will receive a unisex shirt. Register by noon on Nov. 3rd to have a shirt available for the race on Thanksgiving Day. Shirts will be held for pick up until December 31, 2026. After the 31st all shirts that haven't been picked up will go on sale to the general public. Shirts and race packets can be picked up at the Everbody's Fitness on Wednesday Nov. 25th between noon & 6 pm or or on Thanksgiving Day between 7 & 8 a.m.
To compete in this year's race you will need to register online at https://runsignup.com/Race/IN/TellCity/Everbodys2020VirtualTurkeyTrotFunRun, or in person at Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center. There is a family discount this year (family of 3-6. All must live in the same household). Save $5 per registrant.
If you are not a runner but would still like to be involved, volunteers are always needed to hand out water, cheer on and guide the runners at the corners as they take foot on race day! To volunteer call Everbody's Fitness Center at 812-547-3565.
This year, as in past years, proceeds from the race will go to help a local family in need.
