Celebrate 50 Years. Be Part of History!
For half a century, the Emmaus 4-Mile Classic has stood as the longest-running race in the Lehigh Valley—a tradition rooted in community, fitness, and hometown pride. On Sunday, April 11, 2027, runners will gather once again at Emmaus High School to celebrate a milestone few events ever reach: the 50th running of this iconic race.
This isn’t just another year—it’s a chance to make history. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or first-time participant, joining the starting line means becoming part of a legacy that has endured for five decades.
The classic four-mile course will once again wind through Emmaus’ quiet neighborhoods, showcasing the charm and spirit that have defined this event since its beginning.
Now under the stewardship of the Emmaus Community Foundation (ECF), the mission remains clear: honor tradition while strengthening community connections for the future. ECF is committed to preserving what makes the race special while ensuring it continues to serve as a meaningful community gathering.
Mission:
Enhancing the natural beauty and quality of life in Emmaus by encouraging philanthropy to fund high-impact initiatives that further develop optimal community living.
The 4-Mile Classic embodies that mission—bringing together runners, families, and neighbors while supporting projects that keep Emmaus vibrant and connected.
Important:
To preserve the quality and experience of this historic event, participation will be limited to 400 runners. Demand is expected to be high for this once-in-a-generation celebration, so early registration is strongly encouraged to secure your place at the starting line.
Don’t just run the race—be part of its 50-year legacy.
