About
The University of Denver's 14th Annual Crimson Classic 5K Run/1.5 Mile Walk will take place on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 on Carnegie Green Lawn at 3:00pm. Music, stretching, and snacks will start at 2:15pm. The focus of the Crimson Classic is to celebrate well-being and to bring together our community. This is a free event! Please scroll down for the day's schedule. All participants who register before the deadline will receive an Annual Crimson Classic t-shirt. Let's kick off Homecoming weekend together. #DUCrimsonClassic
Routes & Time
Please see the Race Course Map. The afternoons in Denver can reach warm temperatures, please be sure to hydrate prior, during, and after the event. We also may experience rain or even snow during this time of year - so please check the weather to best prepare. Water stations will be located at the Start/Finish line and along the course. Course Distance: 5K (3.2 Miles) = Two (2) laps around the course. The 1.5 Mile Walk = one (1) lap around the course.

Registration and Result Posting Instructions
Register for the race by clicking "Sign Up". It is free for all participants. During registration, you will be asked to sign a waiver. If you are joining the race day-of there will be paper waivers for you to sign at the registration table or a QR code for you to fill out registration via your phone. Race Results will be posted on Carnegie Green Lawn following the race and online.
Event Exclusions
Please be aware of your surroundings while racing. Strollers are allowed, but please ensure to start in the back after all other runners and walkers. Pets are not allowed on course. Service animals are allowed. Participants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
