From the Organizer
We are proud to announce the upcoming Danvers Police Department 3rd Annual D.A.R.E. 5K Road Race at Danvers High School on Sunday, May 16, 2027 and would like to take this opportunity to invite you to participate in this year’s race by running, walking, sponsoring, or making a donation. All proceeds directly benefit the Danvers Police Department’s D.A.R.E. program.
The Drug Abuse Resistance Education – D.A.R.E. is a prevention program that teaches students positive ways to say no to drugs and violence. It is a partnership between the Danvers Police Department, business & community leaders, parents and teachers who work together to help children deal with the pressures and influences that promote drug abuse and violence. The D.A.R.E. curriculum focuses on teaching life skills such as dealing with peer pressure, bullying, managing stress, developing problem solving skills and building self-esteem. The funds allow us to greatly enhance our ability to provide the D.A.R.E. program. As well as other community events which support health interactions between our youths and police officers.
