From the Organizer
Welcome to the Dalton Canyon Ultra Race. This event is right in the backyard of the Dalton Hotshots Camp on the Angeles National Forest in Glendora California. This is an extremely challenging course with over 9,000 total feet of elevation gain and loss mainly on dirt trails with sections of pavement. There is a 50K solo race, a 50k 4 person open relay race, and a 10K solo option.
The mission of our organization and this event is to bring the wildland fire community together, honor, share and preserve hotshot history, and this years money that is raised will be donated to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation.
The event is scheduled to take place February 6, 2027 rain or shine.

This race spans more than one sport — here’s a guide to each, so you can understand what’s involved and decide if it’s the right fit. For course distances, logistics, and race-day specifics, always defer to the race organizer’s event page.
From 5K to marathon, running races are the most accessible entry point into endurance sport. There's a distance for every fitness level and a community at every start line.
Running off-road — dirt, singletrack, and mountain paths — from 5Ks to ultras. The terrain, not the pace, is the whole point.
Anything beyond the marathon — 50K, 50-mile, 100K, 100-mile, and timed events. Aid stations, cutoffs, and finishing as the goal.
