From the Organizer
5k family fun run/walk, with glow-in-the-dark theme. Race starts and ends at the Academy Building in Downtown Dallas and covers a a mixture of trail and road surfaces. All the proceeds benefit a local non-profit, Christmas Cheer, that serves families in need in the Dallas area. This year we are giving a portion of the proceeds to a local breast cancer prevention organization. 5k participants will receive a t-shirt, head lamp, glow stick, free drink ticket and a Domino's pizza. There is also a costume contest with prizes for the best costumes in different categories.
