Charlie Post Classic 15K Run, 5K Run and 5K Walk is a running race on January 23, 2027 in Sullivan's Island, SC, with entry fees from $35 to $45.
The Charlie Post Classic 15K and 5K run and walk is the Charleston Running Club's signature winter event.
This run/walk honors the memory of Dr. Charlie Post, a well-known Charleston runner, triathlete, and family physician who volunteered his time and medical talents to the running community. Dr. Post was an active member of the Charleston Running Club, served as the head of the College of Charleston’s student health services, and was also the school’s team physician for varsity sports.
Our run and walk take place on USATF Certified Courses in beautiful Sullivan's Island, South Carolina. Proceeds benefit the Dr. Charlie Post Scholarship Fund at the College of Charleston, as well as the Charleston Animal Society and Sullivan's Island Fire and Rescue.
To sponsor this event, Floppin' Flounder 5K, or James Island Connector Run 5K/8K, check out the Charleston Running Club's 2026 Sponsorship Guide.
