Celebrate the Lowcountry’s autumn season at Charleston Collegiate School's Fall Festival at Kiawah River, featuring the Run Like the Devil 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, October 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Families and friends are invited to enjoy a farmers market full of local makers and goods, classic fall festival games, live music, food trucks and more. Pets are welcome and must be leashed at all times.
With more than 2,000 acres of picturesque land, Kiawah River offers Fall Festival attendants and race participants unmatched views of the season-changing leaves in the Lowcountry. The family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Attendees are asked to RSVP online prior to the event.
Check-in for the Run Like the Devil race opens at 9 a.m., with the 5K Trail Run starting at 10 a.m. and the Fun Run at 12 p.m. All proceeds support the Charleston Collegiate School’s annual fund. Pre-registration is required to participate in the Run Like the Devil 5K and Fun Run. Register by October 3rd to secure your t-shirt! Registrations received after October 3rd are not guaranteed a t-shirt.

Q. Do you have to register to attend the event?
A. We encourage all non-runner attendees to register for FREE. We’d love for you to join us even if you don’t run or walk. There will be a bounce house and large slide, dunk tank, live music, food vendors, and lots of fun to be had!

To avoid traffic during these times, you may enter the Kiawah River community via River Rd. onto Mullet Hall Rd. For this route, please use 2501 Mullet Hall Rd. in your GPS. Traffic is expected to return to normal following the completion of each race.
EXITING THE EVENT:
You will be able to exit the event at any time via Mullet Hall Rd.
Q: Where can I pick up my race packet and T-shirt?
A: You can pick up your race packet at the registration table beginning at 9:00 AM. This will include your race bib, T-shirt (if applicable), and a swag bag of goodies from our sponsors (if applicable).
Q: Is the race chip-timed?
A: Yes! The 5K is chip-timed by Charleston Road Race Services. The race will start with a shotgun start, so everyone’s official time begins when the horn sounds.
Q: Are strollers welcome?
A: The 5K and Fun Run terrain will require all-terrain strollers. We ask that strollers start at the back and to the right.
Q: Are participants permitted to walk in the races?
A: Absolutely! Walkers are welcome in both the 5K and the Fun Run. We ask that walkers start at the back and to the right. The course offers beautiful scenery!
Q: Are dogs welcome?
A: Yes! Please bring your pets, but keep them on a leash and clean up after them. Don't forget dog bags!
Q: What does registration include?
A: 5K registration includes:
Chip-timed trail run with a shotgun start
Race T-shirt (only guaranteed for those registered prior to October 3rd; extra T-shirts may be available for late registration)
Prizes for the top 3 female and top 3 male race winners. Top winners in each age group will also be recognized.
Q: How much is registration?
A: The 5K registration fee is $50, and the Fun Run fee is $35.
Q: What do the funds raised support?
A: The money raised at this event goes to the CCS 2025-2026 Annual Fund! This fund supports classroom supplies, technology, teacher salaries, field trips, and other important educational elements for students at Charleston Collegiate School.
