Cash Cow 5K is a running race on February 6, 2027 in Lawrenceville, GA, with an entry fee of $30.
From the Organizer
The Cash Cow 5K is built around one simple idea:
Spend less on swag. Give more money back to runners.
No race shirt. No finisher medal. No bananas. No goodie bag full of things you don't need.
Instead, we're putting as much of the registration money as possible into the CASH PRIZE PURSE.
And this isn't a race where only the fastest three runners get paid.
That's 114 cash-paying positions in one 5K.
Here's what makes the Cash Cow so awesome and different:
The prize purse grows as registration grows.
More runners means more money for prize payouts.
We will update the current payout schedule regularly so you can come back and see exactly how much money is on the line.
We're announcing the Cash Cow 5K early so everyone has a chance to hear about it before registration opens.
Registration starts at just $30 for the first 25 runners and increases as more people register.
So you want to sign up early since the number of registered runners determines the price.
So mark October 1 on your calendar and be one of the first to sign up!
The Top 50 Men and Top 50 Women earn cash based on their finishing position, not age group.
But wait! We do have age-group awards so keep reading!
This payout is an open field for Top 50 Men and Top 50 Women first.
Then we also pay the 1st-place Male and Female in each of the following age groups:
That's another 14 opportunities to win cash.
If an age-group winner has already earned an overall Top 50 cash award, the age-group money rolls down to the next eligible runner in that age group who did not finish in the Top 50 places of their gender.
That means the age-group money doesn't disappear just because the fastest runner in the age group already got paid.
Let's be clear about what you're not getting:
If you're looking for another 5K shirt or medal to throw in the drawer, this isn't your race.
But if you are looking to potentially put money back into your bank account THIS IS YOUR RACE!
You are getting a professionally chip-timed 5K, post-race water, a competitive race environment and something most local 5Ks don't give you: a legitimate chance to leave with cash.
ALMOST A THIRD OF THE FIELD WILL LEAVE WITH A CASH PRIZE!
We still have unavoidable race expenses including permits, park rental, police, professional timing, course support and other operational costs, but after those expenses that all races incur, the goal is simple: put as much money as possible back into the prize purse.
BRING YOUR FRIENDS. GROW THE PURSE.
Every additional runner helps grow the prize purse.
Tell your running club. Tell your coworkers. Tell your neighbors. And definitely tell that friend you're pretty sure you can beat.
More runners. Bigger prizes.
CHIP TIMING
The Cash Cow 5K will be professionally chip timed by Elite Race Timing.
Final award timing rules will be clearly published before race day so every runner knows exactly how finishing positions and cash awards will be determined based on the number of registrations we receive. As we hit certain milestones we will advertise the purse prize so you know where it stands.
