This incredible natural area (now known as LLELA) was originally wild and beautiful, full of an endless number of native species. But the area around it became urbanized and the city moved in on it. LLELA was tamed, eventually being surrounded by suburbia (the city, and thousands of people and noise). Now, LLELA, University of North Texas, and the City of Lewisville are working to bring back the wild. Reclaiming it, protecting it, and making beautiful experiences possible for generations to come. As they work daily to restore and replenish the native plant, tree, and animal life, they are bringing the natural environment back full circle. We invite you to come take part in that process, and enjoy these special trails and eco-systems, while showing your support for LLELA’s great work!
While every racer will get some cool swag, October 2nd is the deadline to get a shirt.
