Lace up your shoes and start the CabotFest 20260weekend with one of the most festive, family-friendly races in Central Arkansas!

The inaugural CabotFest Classic 5K and 1-Mile Cricket Crawl will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 8AM, in the heart of Downtown Cabot. Whether you are chasing a personal record, walking with friends or introducing your children to their first fun run, there is a place for you at the starting line.

Event Details

Date: Saturday, October 10, 2026

Location: 207 South First Street (behind Ace Hardware), Downtown Cabot, Arkansas 72023

Parking: First Baptist Church of Cabot, 204 North 3rd Street, Downtown Cabot, AR 72086 (near the Lions Club Pancake Station)

The start and finish area is located behind Ace Hardware Building adjacent to the CabotFest grounds. 

Race-Day Schedule

• 6:30–7:45 a.m. — Race-day packet pickup and registration
• 7:40 a.m. — Group warm-up and stretching led by Ablaze Fitness 
• 7:45 a.m. — Participants report to the starting area
• 7:50 a.m. — National Anthem and pre-race program
• 7:58 a.m. — Wheeled Division start
• 8:00 a.m. — CabotFest Classic 5K Start
• 9:00 a.m. — 5K awards ceremony 
• 9:30 a.m. — 1-Mile Cricket Crawl Start
• Following the races — Stay and enjoy CabotFest!

CabotFest Classic 5K

The CabotFest Classic 5K features a fast, flat and festive course through Cabot Township. Our classic lollipop-loop course offers participants a welcoming straightaway from the start, a loop through Cabot and a smooth return to the heart of the festival. The flat course is suitable for competitive runners seeking a personal record, first-time 5K participants and walkers who want to enjoy an active morning with friends.

The race will be professionally chip timed on a USATF certified 5K course with hydration station at the half way point. The timing chip will be attached to the race bib. Participants must wear their bib on the front of their torso with the number clearly visible throughout the race.

Begin at the 5K certified chipped start/finish point on 1st Street and  Elm Street. Travel southwest on 1st Street, continue through the Lee Street and mile-marker area, enter the Newcastle neighborhood loop –Cambridge–Stonehaven Drive–return to 1st Street, and travel northeast on 1st Street to the same certified finish point.

*Online Registration is $30.00 + processing fee and closes at: 10/05/26 11:59 CDT 

*Race Day Registration is $35.00 + processing fee on 10/10/26 at 06:30 AM -7:45 AM CDT 

*No strollers or dogs will be allowed on this 5K course for safety reasons. No exceptions. 

1-Mile Cricket Crawl Family Fun Run

Run, Walk, Crawl into CabotFest fun!

The 1-Mile Cricket Crawl is a family-friendly event created for children, families, beginning runners and anyone who wants to participate in a shorter distance. Participants will enjoy a 1 mile out and back flat course, fun festival atmosphere, encouragement from volunteers and a celebratory finish. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult before, during and after the event. *The turn-around is located at the Hydration Station on the 1M course.

4. Share Your Fest: Post your photos on social media using #CabotFestClassic so we can celebrate your finish.

When you register, you are doing more than entering a race. You are supporting our community and students in the Cabot School District.

Proceeds support the Cabot Chamber of Commerce community initiatives and e3 Student Mentoring Program. e3's mission is to engage, empower and equip emerging leaders. Your participation helps local students overcome challenges, build meaningful relationships and develop brighter futures.

Packet Pick Up Info

If you pre-register on-line, you have two options for picking up your packet before your race:

1. Pick up your 5K packet at the Packet Pick Up Tent near the Start/Finish Line on Race morning starting at 6:30 AM. All packets must be picked up by 7:45 AM. Cricket Crawl Packets can be picked up in the Cricket Crawl Tent. 

2. Or, if it’s easier, you can pick up your packet at The Humble Thread Boutique, 711 South Pine Street, Ste A, in Cabot on Thursday, Oct 8th: 4:00–7:00 PM or Friday, Oct 9th: 4:00–7:00 PM.
