Busse Woods 20 Miler - 7:00a.m. is a running race on September 19, 2026 in Elk Grove Village, IL, with an entry fee of $60.
PACKET PICKUP - we strongly recommend coming to Xtra Mile in Schaumburg Friday, September 18th between 4-6pm for packet pickup. We'll have a couple small giveaways there. You can also pick up your packet race morning starting around 6:15/6:30.
The self-timed 20 mile run is a great opportunity to prepare for the Chicago Marathon. This run is designed to help runners build endurance and strength for the marathon by simulating the distance and atmosphere of the race. As the name suggests, the run covers a distance of 20 miles and will feature well-marked course with aid stations along the way to provide runners with hydration and support.
It's a great chance to practice fueling strategies, hydration, and gear choices before the big day. With a supportive and encouraging atmosphere, this race will help runners build confidence and provide an opportunity to bond with fellow runners who are also preparing for the Chicago Marathon.
NEW OPTION - We've received feedback around having shirts. You now have an option to buy a shirt! Orders need to be in by September 4th in order to have by packet pickup (pickup available after as well). You can order shirts after, but they will not be ready by packet pickup. We'll host a celebration with refreshments at the finish line!
