Bucs Bounty 5K Run and 5K Fun Walk: Collect Your Treasure!
The Bucs Bounty 5K Run/Walk is excited to launch its second annual race on Saturday, January 16, 2027! Join us for a morning of fun and fitness as we support the students and programs of FSW Collegiate High School right on the beautiful Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) campus in Punta Gorda.

The Course & Race Options
We offer two great ways to participate: the 5K Run or the 5K Walk.
The scenic 5K course winds through FSW's beautiful campus, running alongside our campus lake and beneath majestic oak trees. The path is a mix of paved roads, sidewalks, and parking lots.

Overall Awards
- Overall Top Adult Male and Female Finisher
- Overall Top Student Male and Female Finisher
Age Group & Division Medals
Medals will be presented to the top two or three male and female finishers in:
- Age Groups: 9 & under, 10–12, 13–15, 16–18, 19–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70+
- Masters Divisions: Master (40+), Grandmaster (50+), Senior Grandmaster (60+), Veteran Grandmaster (70+)
Professional timing services will be provided for all competitive 5K runners.
Race Swag & Course Treasure
- T-Shirt & Bib: All participants receive a high-quality, short-sleeve Bucs Bounty 5K race t-shirt and numbered bib. Register by December 16, 2026, to guarantee your shirt!
- Collect Your Bounty: Embrace your inner Buccaneer! Beads will be thrown along the route so you can collect your treasure as you run or walk!
Accessibility
Wheelchair racers are welcome in the 5K. Non-motorized wheelchairs only.

About FSWC-Charlotte
Opened in August 2009 as the first collegiate high school in Southwest Florida, Florida SouthWestern Collegiate High School is located on the Charlotte Campus of Florida SouthWestern State College. FSWC-Charlotte provides students of all ability levels the opportunity to graduate with both a high school diploma and an Associate in Arts (AA) degree.
As a public charter high school, FSWC-Charlotte is tuition-free, consistently ranked as an "A" school by the Florida Department of Education, and was recognized in 2019 as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
