From the Organizer
NEW COURSE THIS YEAR! Due to bridge/road construction on Water St, Shortsville, this year's Bound for the Hounds will be held at Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC) in Canandaigua, NY! The course is a 2 mile loop on the lower trails on the FLCC grounds. I'd say about 70% is grassy mowed trails, 20% dirt trail, and 10% gravel. There is very little elevation and only a couple small sections of trippy roots. I have yet to finalize the course so there's a chance we skip the trippy roots. I find the course to be road shoe or mild trail shoe friendly.
Bound for the Hounds 6 Hour Ultra is held to raise funds to support the "free to all" dog park in Shortsville, NY! Your canine companions are welcome as long as they are well-behaved on a short leash at all times! The race director and FLCC reserve the right to ask a dog's human to remove their dog from the event if any issues arise.
