Blessed Sacrament Academy 5K Walk/Run

Blessed Sacrament Academy is turning 100, and we’re celebrating the best way we know how, by bringing our Southside community together for a morning full of movement, memories, family, and fun.

Join us for the “Walk Through Memory Lane” 5K Run & Walk, a centennial celebration honoring 100 years of Blessed Sacrament Academy’s impact on San Antonio’s South Side. Whether you’re chasing a new 5K time, walking with your family, bringing the kids, reconnecting with old friends, or simply showing up to support the neighborhood, there is a place for you here.

For a century, Blessed Sacrament Academy has adapted to meet the needs of the community around us, and that mission continues today. Funds raised through the 5K directly support the programs currently serving children, students, and families on our campus, including the Blessed Sacrament Academy Child Development Center and Por Vida Academy, our Second Chance High School program.

The Child Development Center provides care and early education for some of our youngest community members, while Por Vida Academy gives students another opportunity to earn their high school diploma, move forward, and build a stronger future. These programs represent what BSA has always been about: meeting people where they are, opening doors, and creating opportunities that can change lives.

And the celebration does not stop at the finish line.

Following the 5K, stick around for our Centennial Birthday Bash, featuring food, activities for kids, entertainment, community fellowship, and plenty of reasons to celebrate. You do not have to participate in the 5K to join the fun. Bring your family, invite your neighbors, and come spend the morning celebrating a Southside institution that has been part of this community since 1926.
